recomps, you may end up jumping back and forth between your main comp and your precomps, awkwardly placing markers at key points or copying your audio into your precomps and making sure it’s lined up correctly, only to have to re-align it all if you end up re-timing your precomps or altering your audio. Lets not even go into the times when your comps are nested even deeper.
Universal Audio is designed to be a seamless solution to working with audio in precomps so you never need to break your creative flow when timing to sound, it provides one button to give you audio reference where ever you are by making your selected audio layers flow throughout all your comps, as well as maintaining all markers from your audio layers and providing the option to add time indicators to the reference layer, so you’ll always know what the current time is in your main comp.
Whichever audio layers you’ve made universal will be remembered as your main audio, so whenever you click refresh, it’ll refresh from those audio layers, as you add new comps you only need to hit refresh to provide audio reference in those new comps, even if you close after effects and re open the project it’ll remember the audio source layers so you can get right back into refreshing the universal audio, adding new comps and animating in sync.
