CGCookie – Fundamentals of Tree Creation

In this short course we’ll go over using the Unity Tree Creator to create a tree. The Tree Creator is a somewhat hidden feature of Unity that is quite useful for creating any type of game optimized vegetation. There are quite a few settings and this course is designed to break it down to understand all the sliders, curves and drop down menus. Things covered in this course include: Creating branches and leaves, Utilizing curves to customize trees, Using wind zones and adjusting wind settings, Example of alternate vegetation that can be created, We’ll end the course by providing an example prefab of a bamboo set to give you an idea of the different types of vegetation that can be created with the “tree creator”.
