In this newest and most powerful version X-Decal it allows you to mask out specific meshes on where the decals will be projected on!
By assigning ID number on the meshes themselves decals with the same ID will receive the decals whilst others with different IDs will not receive that specific decal. This allows you to add decals to your scene and control which meshes receive what decals. In default engine mode you can only change the status of a mesh as either being able to receive or not receive decals making it very difficult to art direct environments where you want a certain decals on one area and another on an area close by. In fact its impossible!
